I like the place in general. It's clean, and in a good location with a lot of things to do around it. Only gripe with it would be the price for what you get. I do understand that the location does warrant the price, but the taste of the burger does not. The burger is "good" but not $12 "good". Mine was kinda dry, and didn't have much seasoning in it. And let's not forget the fries. They were too thick, and could have used more seasoning to make up for as thick as they were. I will try it again though, maybe it was just a bad day on the grill. (Not the fries though. I'm biased and like them thin.)

Great hospitality as usual with the Chef's restaurants... just a few items on the menu so it's easy to order & they do turn the orders fast..small venue/ just a handful of tables so w Summer forget about eating outside! Great hamburger & fries... we didn't care for the hot dog...needs more of a Wow! factor ingredients ...good spot for lunch while shopping @houstontexasmarket

Delicious dinner style burgers with high quality ingredients. I had the wagyu beef and it hit the spot. The fries are completely different than anything I’ve had and they are so yummy. I hope they stay around for a while because I think I just found my new favorite burger place in the neighborhood.

This is a great addition to Houston's Farmers Market. The menu is only a few items and the place is tiny but the burgers are great. I had the Angus burger and I enjoyed it a lot. It's obviously more expensive than a fast food burger place but it's well worth it. You definitely get what you pay for because they deliver a ton more value. Combine with a walk around the farmers market for a pretty good time out. The menu and dining room are very basic but overall great experience.

Vanilla shake was excellent. The fries were not at all what I expected but they were really good. Good service, clean place. I would absolutely go back for those things.
Then there are the burgers. We got one Angus and one Veggie burger. Seriously disappointed. Super boring, slightly under seasoned, overpriced for the mediocre flavor. I was really disappointed, I've never had anything but great things to say about Chris Shepherd's projects. I hope they do something to make their burgers a little more interesting, because honestly, flavor wise these are only slightly better than a burger from McD's for triple the price

Flavors were great. Simple menu makes ordering a breeze. Cute old timey decor. The wagyu burger was delicious but overcooked.

This family of foodies thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Kale salad for the vegetarian ✔ chicken sandwich for me ✔ and wagyu burgers for everyone else ✔. Definitely get the fries!! Crispy scooped goodness. We went on a Saturday and had to wait quite a bit for our food but it was worth it and we enjoyed the nice picnic. Not the cheapest burger meal but you get what you pay for.

Incredible Wagyu burger. It’s messy, but that makes it even tastier. The fries were in a different shape than I’ve seen before, but they were perfectly cooked and had great seasoning. Friendly cashier and line cooks. Very limited indoor seating, but there are many outdoor tables right outside the doors. A must-try!

Our new favorite burger in Houston. We heard this place finally opened up so my wife and I decided to check it out since it’s in the neighborhood. As a bonus, the man himself, Chris Shepard, was behind the counter. We both got the angus burger combo. Burger perfection. Two smashed patties with just the right amount of seasoning, mellty cheese and plenty of crispy bits. Fans of the UB cease and desist burger will be happy. The fries were a new take. Halfway between spiral cut and cottage fries. They were awesome. We’ll be back. First time checking out the Houston Farmers Market since it’s revamp. Looking forward to more places opening. There limited seating inside but plenty of covered and uncovered tables outside. There’s even a walk up window.

Dined in on the day of open. Was expecting a huge line but thankfully there wasn’t one. Ended up getting the wagyu burger with a cookies and cream milkshake. The burger was pretty good - the meat was super tender and juicy. The fries were really good and probably my favorite part of the meal. I just wish I got more than one packet of ketchup for them. I ended up getting my milkshake after I finished my meal bc of a snag with the machine but it was fine. Probably wouldn’t get it again - it just tasted like a basic shake. Good service and attitude of the staff here and recommend checking this spot out!
