I'm going back tomorrow. I was super impressed. Had a 3 meat plate, sliced and chopped brisket with pork ribs. Macaroni and potato salad. I could eat a quart of the Mac salad. I love coleslaw, they don't serve it. But what they do serve is FLAVORFUL AND MOIST! I could not believe what I was eating. The front kid was incredibly sweet. Amazing experience. Missed the turn, they're in an old whataburger type building. Long carhop parking.
Everything was incredible. I even purchased a banana pudding bc Doordarsh didn't show desserts. I am dting to try their peach cobbler.
I am going by tomorrow to pick up more sliced brisket, try the sausage, try the chicken, get extra sauce, and try a different dessert. Ican't believe I'm just finding this place!
Go. Buy everything. Support small business.

First time eating here and the food was fantastic. I did take it to go and was really surprised how big the portions were. Did not receive any bread or bbq sauce so maybe available upon request. Also had the banana pudding for dessert and it was to die for. I’ll definitely be back

Don't drive too fast cause you will miss this amazing place. The smell as you walk up to the door just let's you know it's gonna be good. The food is made to order which means you have to wait but it's worth it. The meat just falls apart as you pick it up and the Mac and cheese is good but I think could be a bit more cheesy and corn is roasted so it taste better and the sausage well you have to taste it and you'll get it. Overall if I could give it more stars I would. The only down side is there isn't anywhere to sit and enjoy the food, we couldn't wait so we ate in the car. This will be a spot that we must come back to try everything else on the menu

The barbecue was amazing! The brisket was so tender and moist. The ribs fell right off the bone and all of the meats had a great smoke flavor to it. The place might be just a run down hole in the wall but the food says differently. We will definitely return for more.

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST BBQ I'VE HAD IN TEXAS, MIGHT BE THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD!!! I HAD BRISKET, PULLED PORK, SAUSAGES, SWEET BEANS, MAC AND CHEESE, AND LEMONADE. EVERYTHING WAS OUTSTANDING AND PERFECT. 10/10

I’ve had BBQ from all the popular spots in west Texas and the Hill Country (including Lockhart), but BBQ Life is on a whole other level! The previously mentioned are good don’t get me wrong, but BBQ Life is by far the BEST Texas barbecue I’ve ever had. My wife and I came across it last week and have already been back twice. So far we’ve tried the chopped beef sandwich, The Outlaw (sandwich) and the beast known as THE SPREAD!!!! If you want real Texas barbecue you’ve gotta try BBQ Life.

Absolutely delicious food! Outlaw loaded baked potato and brisket tacos is what we ordered. It may not be the best looking place, but the FOOD will not disappoint! Prices of food are very reasonable for the amount of food given. Very friendly and welcoming staff!

First timer here an I loved it! Got the Chopped brisket sandwich with Mac&cheese with some green beans an a bag of lay chips! Everything was good!!! ???????? will be coming back for sure to try something else ????

Omg!! The reviews were 100% accurate. By far one of the best briskets I have ever tasted. The flavor was melt in your mouth awesome. The portions were very generous and the cost was very very fair!! The staff are as friendly as possible. Please take their suggestions on sides. I had the ranch beans. Omg these were tasty as well!! The portions are enough to make a couple meals out of too!!
