I met some friends at Bunz for lunch on a Saturday. We started out with a couple of beers; Two in addition to your standard bottled beers like Bud, Bud Light Michelob Ultra, they have Crawford Bock and Highwheel Betty on tap, both Texas brews with lots of flavor. After a beer or two, I jumped into one of their amazing burgers with the Show Bunz, an amalgam of beef, arugula, blue cheese, caramelized onions, and Granny Smith apple slices. This truly was a delight to enjoy with the combination of flavors creating a perfect storm of deliciousness.
Aside from the great food and the cold beers, the restaurant is very clean and adorned with photos of their fabulous fare. We enjoyed sitting both outdoors in the comfortable patio seating, and indoors at one of the high tops once it got a little warm outside. The proprietors were both on hand, serving their customers and fielding all manner of requests from our group and the other people who jammed the place at lunchtime.
I would highly recommend anyone who enjoys a marvelous hamburger to stop by Bunz in downtown San Antonio and enjoy what local flavor can truly bring to a meal.

This is my 2nd time coming to this establishment, and they do not hold back on hospitality. I am extremely grateful and impressed with the service, food quality and prices. Even the fries hit different here. This burger Palace if I may, is awesome. Bunz is on the go to list for sure!!!

Big, juicy, delicious burgers and the “summer” fries with cheese, beans and (something else) were soo good! A bit messy, but we all enjoyed it. My husband had a strawberry shake that was the perfect thickness and creaminess.

Searching for places to eat in the local area and this place popped up.
Absolutely amazing place to eat, 10 of 10 for every single aspect of this meal, and this is coming from a guy who normally don't order the burger but knows and love great food. My Burger was absolutely exquisite. So if you visit the river walk come to the street level and give this place a swing guarantee a hit out of the park.

Great place! 2 of the best burgers we have had anywhere and they have gluten-free buns available. Staff was enthusiastic, energetic, and knowledgeable. We had the Cheek, Mercedes, and Bombardier fries. All were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Tried this restaurant for the second time. The first time I waited in line for over 30 minutes and just left. I was successful in placing my order this time. I asked for a Z bunz burger with Bunz fries and a Pepsi. I also asked for them to leave out the sauce. I made this request about 3 times. Unfortunately when I got back to work the sauce was still in there. It wasn't a total deal breaker. The burger was good and I really loved the fries but in the downtown area they really have stiff competition.

The front desk of the hotel that we are staying at recommended this place and we were very happy she did. The employee at the front was so friendly and provided great service. I ordered the basic burger with loaded fries and both were very good. The burger was very juicy and tender, the bun was fresh... Very tasty. I highly recommend going to this restaurant.

Ace burger experience here. Had the Mercedes cooked medium rare. Burger was juicy and flavorful, toppings were generous and fresh, and the round cut fries were delicious. Great place to grab food!

We tried this place because we happen to be staying downtown for the weekend. It wasn't hard to find but parking was tricky. There is a parking lot near by but it costs a bit. Street parking is available beside the lot but it's metered and limited availability. The restaurant is small and unassuming, minimalistic decor and furnishings. Orders are placed at the counter and the menu is offered on a chalkboard. Burgers of different varieties and sizes and chunky fries offered as well as vegetarian options. We ordered the double bacon burger with fries, I had the chili cheese fries. The cheese was much like the movie theater nacho cheese, and I didn't care for it. The drinks were self serve but there was very limited selection. I found the burgers to be a nice size, pattys were handmade as described on the menu, but there was a lack of condiments about and the pitiful sliver of wilted lettuce that was offered did little to offset the near Pound of meat on the burger. Pickles were Sweet and Thick and not to my liking at all!! Food was served in a small cardboard boat. All in all, I guess if you're not picky at all about your burger fixings or how they are served, or drink selection and condiment selection, this place would do for a quick burger that's handmade. But our ticket was $40 for two people and I wouldn't pay that again for this place. Fries and all sides were extra...

Got the Bunzilla & Mercedes Bunz! They were very delicious & probably now in my top 5 burger places. Definitely craft burger with fresh meat! Flavorful. Service was quick on a Saturday around 3pm with no wait. Place was cool but not super easy to access with parking. Didn’t notice a kids menu online and it’s not on the below pics but they did have a few options.
