Food here is always fresh and delicious whether I order seafood or ACTUAL TRADITIONAL MEXICAN food! My family is from Monterrey so I know what I'm talking about. Pictured is the Tostada Elizabeth. It has shrimp, octopus, fish, mango, cucumber, cilantro, green pepper, tomato, red onion on top of a tostada. Perfection every time I order it!

That menu has a large variety of extreme choices to fit everyone’s palate. I had enough with the first four lines.

My husband and I have ate at this restaurant multiple times. On the weekend it’s always busy with good reason. The variety of mariscos/seafood here is great it comes at a price $$$. This day my husband got a large green shrimp ceviche, the plate was $30. That wasn’t the problem it was that when he got the plate it didn’t look like shrimp not only that it was 70% cucumber and 30% seafood. For a $30 plate he was expecting so much more. I had the mojará a la plancha, that was delicious and worth every $. The michelada was delicious too. We will return we just have to be careful on what we order. The service was great even on an extremely busy weekend. I still recommend this place for good mariscos/seafood.

When I visit San Antonio I come to this place every time ! Fresh delicious ceviche . I ordered the mango ceviche last time and recently the tropical ceviche with mango , coconut , pineapple . And this fried tilapia is so good too ! I’m thinking of trying fish tacos next time . Service is also great !

This place is always busy because the food is worth the wait. I've only been here twice but it has become my go to for sea food. They have so much on their menu it's hard to make up my mind what I want because every dish that comes out of the kitchen looks spectacular.

Authentic Mexican seafood, VERY delicios and generously portioned. Absolutely wonderful. The ceviches, fish tacos with carrots in escabeche (a type of pickling) the seafood soup, all fantastic.

I have been waiting to try this place and finally went! Great atmosphere, good food, plenty of seating, huge portions! Definitely going back to try the entire drink and food menu!

Service is always outstanding. If you don't Ike seafood, they have a big selection of different dishes. They have a good variety of alcoholic beverages as well. We've been here several times. One concern was that a car was broken into on our last visit; throughout conversations, we found out this had been happening on several occasions. Hopefully, they will hire security to prevent this from happening again.

My go to place for Mexican Seafood. Had family in town, so had to bring them to El Bucanero. Came early Saturday evening before the big dinner rush, so was able to get seated right away. Even when it's crowded, the line moves pretty quickly. They do a great job of getting people seated, served, and cleaned up for the next party. We had a party of 6, but they handle larger parties all the time.
We were seated right away. Waiter immediately came to take the drink and appetizer orders. That came out within minutes and placed the main orders next. Most menu items are very large portions and probably best ordered family style. I've been here many times and try to order different items each time. This time was the Molcajete el Bucanero, Botana Mixta, Coco Loco, and Ceviche Hawaiano Tropical. The drink was the Michelada Bucanera. While waiting for your food, you can eat the tostada chips with the 3 different salsas on the table. They're very addicting and you'll quickly get full just eating the chips.
The food is amazing every time. I've never ordered anything I didn't like. Seafood is extremely fresh every time and always presented nicely. Service is very fast and they're constantly checking on you throughout the meal. Highly recommend El Bucanero.for good seafood and good service.
