5 stars all around. From the ambiance, to the location and of course the amazing food brought to us by Chef Louis and Chef Jeremy, everything was absolutely delicious. The lamb and tuna tartare were phenomenal. We tried a little of everything and we were happy we did. We knew Chef Louis and Chef Jeremy would bring it and they certainly delivered.

They are getting started from the reopening, so more good things are to come! Thoroughly enjoyed the Marinated Mussels and Chocolate Mousse. The bartender Alisha was fabulous! Highly recommended.

This place was soooo good! My favorite was the lamb tartare with chicharonnes, a must try. I also had the clod tender, recommended by David, which was delicious as well. Ask for Pedro, he was the best!!

David was the best!!! We had to come back the next day because the frozen raspberry Bellinis were so good. Perfect drink for a hot San Antonio day. Couldn’t ask for better service or drinks!

Service was top notch, the Food was beyond top notch. I had Beef Wellington Special and my wife had Rack of Lamb. We both had Lobster Bisque and it was all excellent. I highly recommend reservations so you dont get closed out and miss a great meal.

My significant other and I went here for a date night, it was a fantastic experience.
I made a reservation about a week in advance; I’d recommend making one before hand, maybe not this ahead of time, but at least a day or so. Walk-ins don’t seem to accommodate many people.
The interior of the building is great; it’s small, intimate, and cozy.
The service was quick, but not too fast. The dinner was timed well by the staff.
The food—oh, where to begin—was to die for. The steak my significant other ordered did not require a steak knife to cut and had more flavor and tenderness than steaks of steakhouses. Phenomenal.
I had the scallops and I can say they were to par with the steak for seafood.
I’m confident that anything else on The Fig Tree’s menu is also worth its weight in gold.

My now-husband brought me here for a surprise dinner right before he proposed at the Arneson River Theatre on the river walk. Not gonna lie, this chicken marsala was the best meal of my life. Wine sauce was amazing. Our server was so sweet and had terrific service. The location was beautiful, you can over look the River Walk (suggestion: weather permitting eat out on the sloped patio!)

Excellent service. Excellent food.
We were restaurant hopping along the River Walk getting the best appetizer at a few restaurants when we happened to come across this little gem. My wife saw the cute lights of each table twinkling at her from across the river and said “that’s our next stop, we have to find out what’s there!” And so our trek ended here at the Fig Tree. It is upscale dining so expect to spend a pretty penny. Definitely a place to celebrate an intimate dinner with a loved one. Not really outfitted to take large parties though that I could tell. Most of the seating is outside on individual tables all along the hill side over looking the river but they have limited seating inside as well. We chose to sit inside as it was about 95deg outside. We managed to slip in without a reservation but I would suggest calling ahead.
Now about the food. We had the roasted beet salad, artichokes, crab cake, and ended with the Baked Alaska dessert which was a bottom layer of moist yellow cake layered with pistachio and chocolate ice cream completely encased with a toasted meringue shell. It was like eating a toasted marshmallow ice cream cake nothing like it I’ve encountered. All the dishes were amazing, beautifully presented and pure satisfaction indeed. It is definitely a place worth trying once in your lifetime.

The restaurant is quaint and looks nice and is just off the Riverwalk. The food has good presentation, but overall wasn't very good in my opinion. We had a large party and a majority of the dishes were too salty and just didn't taste amazing in general, especially considering the price of the meal. Our server was also curt, not very friendly, and forgetful, perhaps because we were seated upstairs, but either way I was unimpressed. I probably won't come back.
