When I first came here, I did not know what I was walking into. I had seen some pictures and the food looked appetizing
This place definitely feels like a whole in a wall. It feels like it should be the neighborhood’s best kept secret. The food is so good and the service was great. It hard not to want to recommend people to come here. They have great variety of menu items and I can’t wait to come back and try some more.

Ordered online through FB page link but restaurant closed - chained up - when I arrived at 1 pm on Fri. Several other cars pulling up and 2 others said they were there to pick up food. No answer on business phone. Did they close for good?

First of all this was my first time ever eating here. And I have to say great job. I ate the #3 enchilada dinner and I have to say it was very very good tasted just like my mother's enchiladas. The staff are very polite and our waitress was very attentive. We will definitely be coming back. This time I think I might try the breakfast. I just hope it's as good as lunch was. Great job Garcia's Mexican restaurant. Keep it up.

OK to be fair when I first came here about 3-4 years ago I was skeptical about the brisket tacos. I do not eat brisket tacos anywhere in Texas because nobody makes a good brisket taco.. OK that being said I’m glad I tried the brisket taco here on recommendation from my friend Daniel Martinez because it’s the best freaking brisket taco ever looks dry but when you bite into the taco it’s really juicy and you can taste the smoke that they used to cook it I’d highly recommend this restaurant. But also the brisket taco and the Papa con huevo taco is the real winner here !!! That’s why I come here for the papa con Huevo taco because it’s made different from any other place to go to it’s more of a Smashy type mashed potato and egg taco but it’s awesome you should at least try it once

The red tortillas and their homemade enchilada gravy make their enchiladas the best enchiladas in town. The Andy's nachos are a necessary appetizer.

Interesting little restaurant. Visited for the first time.
I'd never heard of this place until a friend drove me over to it. I was surprised by the number of people coming and going from this small restaurant. The brisket taco with guacamole came highly recommended,
so I decided to give it a try. Along with the tacos we ordered from brisket nachos an drinks.
All our food came out fairly quick, we did have to correct an item, but it was taken care of quickly without issue.
The brisket tacos while a bit small, had a ton of flavor, for not being a BBQ restaurant this place had some amazing brisket. I started to wonder if they were in the wrong business because it was better than
many BBQ places I've been to.
Everything I tried was great, and I would definitely return to try some more items. While not the cheapest of places to eat, if your looking for unique twists and amazing flavors this is a great place to try.

Take out only. No dine in. Great brisket tacos. Very tender and flavorful. Add some guacamole and pico de gallo for even more yumminess. Very friendly customer service.

- Their service is great! They are real fast at taking care of your order. It takes approximately 15 mins for each order to come out.
- Food tastes fantastic, their rice and beans tasted just as if my grandmother made it, such a great taste. Their brisket taco is unique, it has a subtle smokey taste, it tasted great.
- The only item I did not like was the burger. I thought I'd ordered the steak burger, but am sure I got just a standard burger since it lacked flavor, it surprised me that the burger was so underwhelming. The burger patty was flexible and the bread crumbled easily.
* I will continue to visit Garcia's and continue ordering more tamale plates and enchiladas. I will give their burger another chance, I suppose the burger they served me was a kid's menu item and I didn't notice it until I got home and ate part of it.

This place is an absolute hidden gem of San Antonio. I lived 20+ year in San Antonio and only learned about this place after I moved. Now, it is a MUST VISIT every single time I am back in San Antonio. The brisket tacos are out of this world. Very good bean and cheese and bacon and egg tacos as well. Location is a pretty small, it fills up quick. Service is very good and the again the food is extremely delicious.

Small local spot just off of I-10. There will be a wait bit it’s totally worth it. The food is so yummy and delicious and there’s a bit of something to please everyone. The tortillas are awesome. Puerco (pork) is melt in your mouth delicious. They even have brisket tacos! Everything was good. Staff is friendly and welcoming too.
