Looking for lunch near Downtown San Antonio and found II Forno. The place is small and cozy on the inside. We were immediately greeted by the front of the house and walked through the various options. We split a salad and three meat pizza. The food came out fairly quick and the ingredients were fresh. My biggest complaint was the level of salt utilized in both dishes was heavy handed. The overall experience was good and we would come back for another visit.

Pizza heaven! Delicious to the max. We took advantage of daily Happy Hour. Great atmosphere... with wood-fired oven. Will definitely return on our next trip to SA.

This is a hidden gem of sorts. The atmosphere is very chill and was surprised by the small menu. Although it was few options it had the most popular. My food was delicious and very fresh. The service was extremely nice and I will be coming back again. I met the wife for lunch and we both were very satisfied. The salad I had was a first for me. They also have lunch combos

Pizza was delicious! We also had house salads which were fresh greens and a light dressing. The waiter recommended the double roasted olives which were a bit with our group. Our group of 4 sat outside and enjoyed the beer on tap with our meal. We loved this place!

Finally got the chance to try their pizza and it did NOT disappoint! Very yummy, fresh and I’m very excited to make my way back to Il Forno. Come try and see/taste for yourself!

Margherita, Verdura, and Parma pizza are excellent! The Calabrese Hummus with Fire Roasted Tomatoes & Flatbread - salty yet sweet, perfect appetizer. The meatballs appetizer - cheesy, meaty goodness. Don’t forget to get the chocolate mouse for dessert it is divine!

Found this little gem when we decided to have a shot of the moment date night and the original destination was closed. We were a little hesitant because of the area, but we're being impressed when we left. As soon as we walked in you are welcomed by the delicious smells and the greeter comes around the bar to greet and welcome you to the restaurant. The menu is simple but the food was amazing. We will definitely be back soon and will recommend them to anyone looking for a great meal and some delicious pizza!

Fantastic pies, great creations, the ingredients are fresh, they have the cured meats hanging in a glass door fridge. The crust is light, the cheese is high quality and they turn them out quickly. Friendly neighborhood kitty stopped by too!

Excellent pizza in San Antonio. We're from St. Louis, which has an incredible pizza scene, and this place was absolutely perfect. The pizza is sourced from locally made ingredients, and the beer selection, while a tad on the smaller size, covered everything you need. The pizzas are made in an Italian style wood oven, the kind where you can really taste the wood flavors. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for incredible pizza in a relaxed atmosphere.
