The bread is just ok nothing out of thus world just plain bread. The only downside to this place is huge! The service is awful! I've been here 3 times and all 3 times the ladies have been rude. they don't smile just say next! And when you try to ask and choose the bread they look at you like we are dumb. I pointed to one bread and she put both hands up like name it! I don't know the names. Then i describe it and she shakes her head. The bread is not the best in San Antonio other places have better flavor why do people still come here? With the bad attitudes from the employees. I will definitely not go back....ever!

Everything from here was exceptional! We got a wide variety of panesitos and enjoyed every single one. Lemon custard cake was the absolute best! Conchas we're soft and fluffy. The cinnamon roll was incredible! Not to mention the churro! Definitely recommend this Panaderia!

Everyone loves the person who brings sweetbread/pan dulce, especially when it's from this place. Classic feel good smells and taste flood the senses in this neighborhood panadaria that keeps the classic tastes of your abuelitas baked specials alove and well at La Popular. Visit them and know the difference!

Wish they would number their racks with a corresponding number to the server so you don't have to describe or tap on the glass while they try to figure out which one especially for people who don't know the names example how many non spanish speakers can say campechana or chamuco. Also along with the number the price. Suggesting this seems futile as they just stare at u.

The pink cake is so on point. It's moist and not dried out like some places can have it. The rest of the pastries are good as well. They have all cookies in small and large varieties. I have never been disappointed when I go in.

Wow!! This place has to be the best bakery in town. First, just to set the right expectations, do not walk-in asking for a birthday cake! There are only cookies, pastries, and single serve cake items. If you want to take your child for a really yummy treat, that won't break the bank, La Popular Bakery should be on your to-do list for this Summer!
