I've eaten here so many times before but have never felt like I needed to write one until now. We sat out on the balcony and had the best time! I wish I caught the waitresses' name, but on the receipt it said Priscilla She was so amazing! Food was 10/10 as always, but she made our dinner that much better!

I've been there twice so far and both times I haven't been able to eat or enjoy my food. Everything I've tried so far has had so much pepper in it that that is the only thing you can taste including the broccoli and cheese soup. At the prices per plate I'd like to taste something besides a big heap of pepper. Extremely disappointed.

This is my go to restaurant in San Marcos when I'm craving home cooking/comfort food. I enjoy coming here with friends and family because everyone seems to enjoy the tasty food. We usually start off with nachos or queso & chips which are both equally great. My go to is always the Chicken Fried Steak. The salad is super fresh and tasty. The service is on point with smiling happy staff. I totally recommend this restaurant.

I don't get the hype. The onion rings I was so excited to try tasted like flour.. The fajitas I ordered were zero flavor. My daughter ordered the grilled chicken and again zero flavor. Her fries weren't even salted. Our table was wobbly. The waitress was great.

This was our first time going to Grins and it left us wondering why we had never been there before. Our server, Maven, was excellent! The queso was a little thick but really good and the onion rings were awesome.
I had the grilled Cajun chicken and added bacon, cheese ????, and jalapeños to it. I chose the broccoli ???? cheese soup ???? and mashed potatoes ???? for my sides and they were excellent. The portions were great too. My wife had the chicken fried chicken ???? and she said it was delicious. The prices were reasonable too. We will definitely be back.

Very good comfort food, and a classic San Marcos restaurant. If you haven’t stopped by I’d recommend getting the chicken fried chicken as it was perfect. Also the Mac and cheese was on point.

We had the steak with green beans and baked potato Followed by carrot cake for dessert. If the carrot cake was outstanding and the steak and green beans were also good. It's in the middle of a college so expect more of a college atmosphere. Parking is on the slant of a hill.

The Buffalo Chicken sandwhich is great!! The serving sizes are very large, and the staff was super nice and extremely personable. We will definitely be back.
