I got the filet mignon sandwich, and it was good but not exactly my thing. Staff was friendly with the order ready on time, but I think I'll go for something spicier and more flavorful next time.

Nick’s Charcoal Pit is great. Their Nick’s Special filet minion sandwich is killer with a side of jerk sauce. Nothing like it in the city. Always friendly service, and quick takeout. Reasonably priced, too.

Nicks BBQ
I ordered thru Grubhub on 11/07/2020. The rib and wing combo was quite delish and delivered hot for $16.95. Be prepared to wait 1 hour and 30 mins. Their tasty meats were cooked and sauced perfectly. I prefer my bbq cooked like Nick does it, old school, but my bf prefers the extreme smoke with a dry rub. The rib was my fav, it brought back nostalgic memories of great fam backyard bbq’s. The wings were good but whole wings are not my fav and they were tiny. I suggest buying the next size up. To my surprise, the fries were still crispy but there was soo few, only about 13 fries? I want more fries next time, Nick!
Also, their well-known filet mignon sandwichy was good. Keep in mind, filet mignon costs about $6 more a pound that great cheesesteak meat, therefore don’t expect the meat to overflow the lovely sarcone’s roll and you won’t be disappointed.

This place is amazing. The employees were very friendly and the food is always consistent! I got the wings and the rib/chicken platter, large portions and everything was delicious! The fries were crispy and coleslaw was perfect. The bbq sauce is Smokey and they def don’t skimp on sauce, which is very important to me. There’s nothing I don’t like about this spot .

Great example of very good pieces not working great together. We got Nick’s special filet mignon sandwich. Very good filet mignon. I guess for the price of $10.25 it was an appropriate amount. Very good sarcone roll but the roll kind of dominated the sandwich. Cheese, my kingdom for more cheese. Very good news for Mike Rant Sr., Kristen from The Inquirer has taken your title as world's guest eater. She commented that this was a very good sandwich but not a cheesesteak. Good overall experience.

After hearing decent reviews about Nick's in the past, I decided to give it a try. I don't know if it was a not so good day? But the food was a major disappointment. The BBQ boneless chicken breast flat as if they were beaten. The sauce tasted very generic, and not home made. The fish sandwich wasnt good either. Didn't expect my hotdog (for the kid) to be broken in half and on a round bun. And the ribs(not shown) were a big let down. The overall theme. Bland! Bland! And Bland! Everything lacked flavor!!! For the prices I paid, I expected a much better experience. 2/5

Don't order the ribs. They actually smelled too raw, like poop. I couldn't eat them. Paid $20 in total just to be able to eat fries and coleslaw.
